The annual Christmas campaign that benefits deserving children in Texas County recently shared ways individuals can help.
Pat Miller, Share Your Christmas coordinator, said applications are taken from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Houston Lions Club Den on North U.S. 63 in Houston. The deadline to sign up is Dec. 6, she said.
“We need donations of winter hats, gloves, socks and underwear for kids of all ages,” she said. “We are also in need of good used clothing for men, women, and children and any type of household items.”
An Angel Tree is in place at Houston Walmart Supercenter on South U.S. 63. It details individual cases that need donations. ‘Toys for Tots’ are at various businesses around town and benefit the campaign.
