A Mountain Grove woman was injured early Monday when her vehicle hydroplaned six miles south of Houston.

MSgt. Dale Pounds said a northbound 2019 Hyundai Elantra driven by the 34-year-old driver went off U.S. 63 and struck a tree.

The woman, who had moderate injuries, was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. She was wearing a seat belt. The car had extensive damage following the 4:50 a.m. accident.
