An inmate at the South Central Correctional Center in Licking died Sunday (Jan. 12) evening, the Missouri Department of Corrections reported.
Blake Selby, 34, was serving a three-year sentence for one count of third-degree assault out of Cole County and one count of fourth-degree assault motivated by discrimination out of Moniteau County. The death occurred at 8:05 p.m at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
Selby was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections on Dec. 26, 2023.
Officials said an autopsy will be conducted.
