Two Salem residents were injured and their vehicle totaled in an accident Saturday morning north of Raymondville, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. Jason Sentman said a northbound 2008 Toyota Prius traveled off the right side of Highway 137, striking a metal sign and tree.

The 54-year-old female driver and a 48-year-old male passenger were taken by ambulance to Salem Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Responding were firefighters from Licking and Raymondville. Assisting was Cpl. Stacy Crewse.


EARLIER: First responders were called at about 10 a.m. Saturday to a crash north of Raymondville on Highway 137, authorities said.

Two fire departments  โ€” Licking and Raymondville โ€” were called to the accident that was south of Wildwood Drive.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol also was on the scene.
