The Plato School District will dismiss at 12:40 p.m. Friday to allow the Plato community to attend a memorial service for a student.
River Rhoades, 8, was a third grade student at Plato Elementary School. She passed away Jan. 2 from injuries sustained in an accident in Sherman, Texas.
Services for River are at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at Holman-Howe Funeral Home, 320 S. Adams Ave., in Lebanon. Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery near Falcon. A memorial has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
