Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during a meeting Jan. 2.
Members:
- Reviewed 2025 budget requests and the community checklist from the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) concerning a flood plain project.
- Discussed inspection of Camp Road bridge.
- Denied a request to waive penalties on property taxes.
In other business, commissioners heard from:
- Tammy Cantrell, collector/treasurer, in a request to remove mineral rights parcels from tax rolls for past due taxes.
- David Scantlin concerning updates from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
