Missouri State Highway Patrol

A Salem man is wanted after he led the Missouri State Highway Patrol on a chase Friday with speeds hitting 136 miles per hour, authorities said.

The 30-year-old man was observed speeding on Highway 137 north of Raymondville when a patrol officer attempted to stop the driver, who later traveled through Raymondville on Highway B and south onto Highway 137.

Another trooper attempted to put a device on the road to puncture tires, but the driver managed to elude it. Later, the driver’s behavior was deemed a danger to the public and the pursuit stopped.

According to the patrol, the man is wanted on a felony Dent County warrant for driving while revoked/suspended and his current license is revoked.

Bond is set at $10,000 cash only.
