​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between Jan. 20 and 26, the Houston Police Department answered 172 calls for service and initiated 45 traffic stops, which resulted in 16 citations and 41 warnings.

  • On Jan. 20, officers cited John B. Burleson, 24, of Houston, for driving while intoxicated.
  • On Jan. 20, officers responded to the 300 block of Ozark Street for a domestic dispute. The dispute was only verbal and one party had already left the residence.
  • On Jan. 21, officers cited Billy J. Carrell, 46, of Irondale, for driving while suspended.
  • On Jan. 23, officers responded to the intersection of West Highway 17 and U.S. 63 for a motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.
  • On Jan. 23, officers responded to the 1100 block of N. Industrial Drive for a domestic dispute. A verbal altercation had taken place and was resolved.
  • On Jan. 25, officers arrested Jodi Arthur, 42, of Houston, on an active Houston Municipal warrant per charge of failure to appear-expired license plates. Arthur was escorted to the Texas County Jail, where she posted the $80 cash-only bond and was released.
  • On Jan. 25, officers received a report of sexual misconduct that occurred within the city. The matter is under investigation.
