Judith Gail Brammer (nee Behnken) passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Jan. 14, 2025, at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She was born on Oct. 13, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio, to Herman and Novalene Behnken.

She attended Belmont High School in Dayton. Her goal in life was to help others, and she worked for many years as a certified nurse aide/EMT/ward clerk in facilities in California and Missouri. She retired from Texas County Memorial Hospital after over 25 years of service.

Judy was preceded in death by her children, Steven Andrew Rodgers and Dawn Renee Reid (Rodgers); her parents, Herman and Novalene Behnken; her sisters, Sharlene Frasure, Barbara Frasure, Bonnie Aukerman and Joan Shaneyfelt; and brother, Herman “Bud” Behnken.

Judy is survived by her children, Cheryl Currier (Rodgers), Jeffrey and Bobbie Jo Rodgers, Pamela (Rodgers) and Mark Harrison, Linda (Brammer) and Jr Stoops, and Jonnie (Brammer) Higginbotham and a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Always witty with her humor and quick with a comeback, she was great at making us laugh and keeping us on our toes. Her family loved her dearly, and she will be greatly missed. She always enjoyed being surrounded by family and wanted them all to “Be Happy!”
