A Yukon woman was injured late Tuesday morning in a Highway 17 accident about five miles south of Houston, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. Zayne Tate said a northbound 2014 Ford C-Max ran off the right side of the roadway, overturned and struck a road sign. The vehicle was totaled.

The woman, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Assisting were Cpl. Jacob Sellars and Cpl. Justin Dedmon.

The patrol no longer releases information about persons involved in an accident, citing the risk of fraud.
