Four Texas County bridge projects — three of them new — were approved Wednesday by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission during a meeting in Sikeston. The bids total about $5.8 million.

A nearly $1.85 million contract was awarded to West Plains Bridge & Grading, LLC, for a bridge rehabilitation over Roubidoux Creek on Highway 17.

An almost $3.964 million contract was awarded to West Plains Bridge & Grading, LLC, for bridge replacements in three locations on Highway 137.

They include:

  • Over Pine Creek.
  • Over Big Creek.
  • Over South Prong Jacks Fork.

Additional information, regarding timelines and impacts to traffic, will be released prior to the start of construction.
