In its latest report, the Cabool Police Department listed a range of activities, including traffic stops, arrests and responses to local incidents.

The department reported seven traffic stops resulting in four summons and three warnings issued. Four arrests for non-traffic offenses were made.

On Tuesday, Feb. 11, officers took a report of an unlawful use of a credit device. The reporting party stated their credit card had been fraudulently used at a truck stop in Oklahoma, officers said. The investigation is ongoing.

At 8:27 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, officers responded to a two-vehicle accident on Business 60 near Cabool Apartment Drive. A 2000 Toyota Sienna traveling east on Business 60 lost control on the snow-covered road and struck a parked motor vehicle, which was sitting on the side of the road, officers said.

On Friday, Feb. 14, officers assisted the Texas County Special Response Team, Missouri State Highway Patrol and South Central Drug Task Force in serving a narcotics-related search warrant at a Rogers Street address. As a result of the search, four subjects were arrested and charged. William Wright, Madeline Stover and Jacob Elwell were charged with distribution of a controlled substance and felony maintaining a public nuisance. Brittany Yeager was charged with possession of a controlled substance and felony maintaining a public nuisance. All subjects are being held at the Texas County Jail.

In total, police handled one accident, one alarm, five animal complaints, one stealing/theft incident, one suspicious activity incident, assisted other agencies three times and assisted the public three times.

The fire department was dispatched five times.
