​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
Between Jan. 27 and Feb. 2, the Houston Police Department answered 108 calls for service and initiated 21 traffic stops, which resulted in five citations and 17 warnings.
- On Jan. 27, officers responded to the 200 block of S. Grand Avenue for a domestic assault. A male and a female were arrested per charges of third-degree domestic assault, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. A report will be forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor for formal charges on both subjects.
- On Jan. 28, officers cited Rex L. Wood, 61, of Mountain Grove, for driving while suspended.
- On Jan. 28, officers investigated a theft from the 1500 block of N. U.S. 63. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Jan. 29, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a private property motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.
- On Jan. 29, officers responded to Holder Drive for a one-vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.
- On Jan. 30, officers responded to the intersection of U.S. 63 and Highway B for a motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.
- On Jan. 30, officers cited Samuel J. Williams, 25, of Houston, for operating a motor vehicle without a valid operator’s license.
- On Jan. 31, officers responded to the 200 block of N. Third Street for a missing person. The subject was located a short time later and returned to their residence.
- On Feb. 1, officers responded to the 200 block of N. Third Street again for a missing person. The subject was located a few hours later and taken back to their residence.
- On Feb. 1, officers responded to the 100 block of N. Second Street for the theft of a motor vehicle. The vehicle was recovered a short time later and a suspect was taken into custody in relation to the theft. Formal charges are pending.
- On Feb. 2, officers received a report of fraudulent debit card use from a resident. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Feb. 2, officers were called to a residence on Main Street for suspected drug activity. With the assistance of K-9 Omen, officers discovered suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia at the residence. A report will be forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor for formal charges.
- On Feb. 2, officers arrested Payton Peterson, 21, of Houston, on an active Houston Municipal warrant per charge of failure to appear-stop sign violation. Peterson was transported to the Texas County Jail, where she was able to post the $90 cash-only bond and was released.
