âž” Widespread wintry weather arrives early this morning, lasting through the afternoon. Snow accumulations expected along and northwest of I-44, with minor ice accumulations expected south of I-44.

âž” Freezing drizzle will continue this morning ahead of the main event, then again as the precipitation exits. A light glaze of ice is possible on elevated and untreated surfaces.

âž” Cold air pushes in behind the precipitation tonight into Thursday morning.

âž” Winter Weather Advisory expanded across southern Missouri and is valid now until 9 tonight. It includes Texas County.

âž” A quick band of moderate snow may traverse just along and north of the I-44 corridor this morning.

All of the county’s seven school districts have closed today.
