On March 29, American Legion Post 41 in Houston will host its annual event on Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Day.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the event will feature personnel with the Missouri Veterans Commission offering assistance with VA needs. A free lunch will be served, and there will be games and social time for attendees.

U.S. military veterans of all wars are invited.

March 29 is annually designated as National Vietnam War Veterans Day. On March 29, 1973, the day U.S. Military Assistance Command, Vietnam, was disestablished and the day the last U.S. combat troops departed Vietnam.

The Legion Hall is at 1515 Sam Houston Blvd. in Houston.
