The Eminence R-1 School District recently selected Stephanie Barbagiovanni as its superintendent, effective July 1.

Barbagiovanni is the director of curriculum, instruction and assessment in the Houston R-1 School District, and has served in that position since 2019. Her prior administrative experience includes serving as the Plato R-V curriculum director.

“We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Barbagiovanni into our school district, and look forward to utilizing her excellent background in educational leadership,” said Carolyn Dyer, board president.

She received her specialist degree in Educational Leadership in August 2023 from the University of Missouri and her Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership from Columbia College in 2019.

The Eminence Board of Education is planning receptions to introduce Barbagiovanni to staff members and to the community, officials said.
