Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings March 12 and 13.

Members:

  • Met with the South-Central Ozarks Transportation Advisory Committee to discuss 2025 priorities for Texas County highways.
  • Discussed replacing a coil on the rooftop unit at the justice center.
  • Commissioners John Casey and Robert Ross attended a Gentry Center Liaison Council meeting and a South Center Commissioners Association meeting.
  • Ordered the collector/treasurer to move Deputy Settlement Funds from General Revenue Fund to Law Enforcement Sales Tax Fund, including any future payments to Deputy Supplement Fund.
  • Reviewed and acknowledged the transfer of Scott Logan to patrol deputy effective March 19.
  • Reviewed responses from Smith & Smith Attorneys at Law concerning CPI Technologies litigation.
  • Commissioner Casey attended the Twin Cities Industrial Park meeting.

In other business, commissioners heard from:

  • David and Amy Adkison about grants for Hamrick Terrace.
  • Glen McKinney informing the commission of Vietnam and Armed Forces days planned.
  • David Scantlin on Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) updates.
  • Leann Green, Boone Township, dropped off township insurance information.
