Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings March 19 and 20.

Members:

  • Met with insurance representatives from Higgenbotham Insurance and Combined Insurance.
  • Discussed Senior Tax Credit policies and procedures with the assessor.
  • Discussed damage to the greenhouse at the Justice Center.

In other business, commissioners heard from:

  • Brenda Finn concerning a property issue.
  • State Rep. Bennie Cook on legislative issues.
  • Jeff Malam and John Thobe, Pierce Township, on Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) projects.
  • David Scantlin on Clinton Township FEMA projects.
  • Molly Houser concerning issues getting a CAGE number for FEMA.
  • Michael Marquardt, who expressed concern with property taxes.
