Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings March 19 and 20.
Members:
- Met with insurance representatives from Higgenbotham Insurance and Combined Insurance.
- Discussed Senior Tax Credit policies and procedures with the assessor.
- Discussed damage to the greenhouse at the Justice Center.
In other business, commissioners heard from:
- Brenda Finn concerning a property issue.
- State Rep. Bennie Cook on legislative issues.
- Jeff Malam and John Thobe, Pierce Township, on Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) projects.
- David Scantlin on Clinton Township FEMA projects.
- Molly Houser concerning issues getting a CAGE number for FEMA.
- Michael Marquardt, who expressed concern with property taxes.
