Texas County’s unemployment rate was up in January compared to December, the Missouri Department of Economic Development reported.
In January, the rate was 4.6%. That is up compared to the 4.1% rate in December.
According to the department, the county’s total labor force was 10,313 and employed was 9,841. (Total unemployed – 472)
Other counties and their unemployment rates: Dent (4.4), Douglas (4.2), Howell (4.7), Laclede (5.3), Phelps (4.3), Pulaski (4.1), Shannon (6.4) and Wright (5).
