There is an elevated fire risk today in Texas County: Don’t burn, says the National Weather Service.
A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 1 to 6 p.m. for counties west of Texas County.
The National Weather Service said:
âž” Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
âž” Wind directions will shift through the day. They will start out as southeasterly, shifting to southwesterly, westerly, then end the day northwesterly.
âž” Widespread relative humidity values of 20 to 30 percent will occur with localized areas dropping as low as 15 percent.
