A very strong storm system will bring a variety of hazards to the area today through Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.

Strong to severe storms and wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph are expected today, it said. Wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph tonight into Wednesday, along with the potential of some minor accumulating snow, are expected.
