​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
Between Feb. 24 and March 2, the Houston Police Department answered 169 calls for service and initiated 39 traffic stops, which resulted in seven citations and 33 warnings.
- On Feb. 24, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for several theft investigations. Following the investigations, officers cited Kyle B. Southard, 32, of Cabool, for five counts of stealing under $750.
- On Feb. 24, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a theft investigation. The investigation revealed a 61-year-old female had committed a theft from the business and had previously been trespassed from the business. A report will be forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor for formal charges of burglary and theft.
- On Feb. 25, officers arrested a 62-year-old male for driving while revoked. A report will be forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor for formal charges.
- On Feb. 25, officers arrested Blake O. York, 20, of Houston, on an active Houston Municipal warrant per charge failure to appear-operating a vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. York was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he posted the $80 cash-only bond and was released.
- On Feb. 26, officers cited Richard T. Phillips, 46, of Mansfield, for stealing under $750 after he took an item from a S. Sam Houston Boulevard business.
- On Feb. 26, officers arrested Jon Ware, 56, of Elk Creek, on two active Willow Springs Municipal warrants per charges of failure to register a motor vehicle and failure to provide financial responsibility. Ware was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he posted the $117.50 cash bond and was released.
- On Feb. 28, officers cited Jesse K. Garrett, 33, of Houston, for operating a motorcycle without a valid license.
