​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between March 10 and 16, the Houston Police Department answered 212 calls for service and initiated 59 traffic stops, which resulted in 10 citations and 52 warnings.

  • On March 11, officers arrested Kermit Collins, 60, of West Plains, on an active Howell County warrant per charge failure to appear (non-support). Collins was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he posted the $500 cash-only bond and was released.
  • On March 13, officers received separate reports of theft from a fraudulent website. The thefts totaled more than $100,000. The fraudulent website was for a former Houston business and has since been deleted by authorities. The investigation is ongoing.
  • On March 14, officers responded to the 1000 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a domestic disturbance. The dispute was settled and the parties separated for the evening.
  • On March 14, officers responded to the 500 block of Florence Street for a domestic dispute. The dispute was settled and the parties separated.
  • On March 15, officers responded to the 200 block of W. Chestnut Street for a theft. The investigation is ongoing.
