An inmate at the South Central Correctional Center died late Thursday night, the Missouri Department of Corrections said.
Khyree Davis, 33, was pronounced deceased at a medical unit at the prison in Licking.
He was serving a 25-year sentence for one count each of second-degree murder, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon causing death, resisting arrest and drug sales from St. Louis County.
He had been in prison since November 2015.
An autopsy will be conducted.
