March winds have certainly not been an understatement this month.
Texas County Library sends thoughts and prayers to those in Rolla that were hit by the storm this past Saturday. The Rolla library was not hit, but to those that were, we wish them the best.
The new library being built in Houston has windows and doors now. This is so exciting, and we love hearing from the community and all throughout Texas County about how excited you are, too! The question we get asked most is “when will the building be finished?” While there is no set date yet, we are hopeful that by the summer we will be able to start moving in. For a $500 or more donation to the library foundation, your name can be placed on our donor wall as thanks for helping us achieve this wonderful dream.
From 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 22, is the Houston branch spring children’s party. We will celebrate the author Mo Willems and his wonderful books about such characters as the Pigeon and Elephant. There will be stories, crafts and snacks. Please come join us for all the fun!
The next adult book club meets at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at the Houston branch. All are welcome and come prepared to discuss a recent book you have read.
