One person was injured late Tuesday morning when a truck and motorcycle struck head-on in Wright County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Cpl. Stacy Crewse said a northbound 1999 Dodge pickup driven by a 32-year-old Norwood man was attempting to make a left turn on Highway E and crossed in the path of a southbound 2001 Honda GL1800 motorcycle operated by a 68-year-old Mountain Grove man. They struck head-on at about 11:45 a.m. three miles north of Norwood.
The truck’s driver had moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cox South in Springfield. The motorcyclist was not hurt.
Both were using safety devices. Assisting at the scene were Tprs. Jason Sentman and Nathan Poynter.
