The Shannon County Sheriff’s Department said it is involved in a death investigation from Saturday, and a youth is in custody as a result.
The deceased person is a man, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control is assisting, Sheriff Steve Hogan said.
The man’s next of kin have been notified, the public was not in danger during the incident and no further information will be released at this time, Hogan added.
According to the sheriff, it is the ninth death investigation conducted in Shannon County since Jan. 1. Hogan thanked the patrol and the Shannon County Juvenile Office for their assistance.
