Texas County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a report of a male subject exposing himself at a Summersville business on Friday (Feb. 28).

At approximately 10:38 p.m., officers responded to the scene where witnesses reported that the suspect urinated in the parking lot of the business, exposing himself to several people.

Deputies located Joshua L. Bolin, age 34, of Summersville, inside a parked vehicle at a residence in the area. Bolin refused to unlock and exit the vehicle after being informed he was under arrest.

Deputies forced entry into the vehicle and removed Bolin, who continued to physically resist arrest and used his fingers to gouge the eyes of a deputy. He was taken into custody and transported to the Texas County Jail. The deputy was treated and released from a hospital.

Bolin is charged with first-degree assault of a special victim (law enforcement), resisting arrest for a felony and sexual misconduct. He is held in the Texas County Jail without bond.
