After voting by coaches, three basketball players from Houston High School received postseason recognition for their efforts in the 2024-2025 season.
Two Lady Tigers were named to the South Central Association conference All-SCA list, as senior Lacey Cavaness made the Second Team and junior Gracyn McNiell received Honorable Mention. McNiell also made the Class 3 District 10 All-District list.
Willow Springs junior Chloe Jones was named SCA Player of the Year and Class 3 District 10 Player of the Year and Thayer’s Denny Young was named Coach of the Year in both the SCA and the district.
Cabool sophomore Chloe Overby received Honorable Mention.
On the boys side, HHS senior Jordan Arthur received All-SCA Honorable Mention.
Thayer seniors Devin Harrington and Easton Pitts were named SCA Co-Players of the Year and Mountain Grove’s Nick Openshaw was named SCA Coach of the year.
Harrington was also named Class 3 District 10 Player of the Year and Thayer’s Matt Pitts was named district Coach of the Year.
Cabool senior Carson Lindsey received All-SCA Honorable Mention.
