An accident east of Willow Spring on U.S. 60 injured a Tulsa man early Wednesday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Cpl. Mayela Baron said a westbound 2014 Acura MDX driven by the 72-year-old man traveled off the highway into the median and struck the ground.

The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken with moderate injuries to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains following the 2:30 a.m. accident. The vehicle had extensive damage.
