After a traffic stop and investigation conducted by a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper on April 11, a Cabool man faces a felony drug charge.

Daniel L. Tilley, 42, of 719 Ozark Ave. in Cabool, is charged with possession of a controlled substance (a class D felony).

According to a trooper’s report, the officer received information that Tilley was staying at a residence in Cabool and had an active arrest warrant out of Oregon County. The officer watched the residence and reportedly observed a vehicle leaving with three occupants.

A traffic stop was conducted at the Town and Country Supermarket parking lot and Tilley was observed sitting in the back seat. The trooper reportedly told Tilley he was under arrest for the warrant, and during the process he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a pair of glass smoking devices.

He was taken to the Texas County Jail. The Texas County prosecutor requested a $2,000 cash bond.
