Texas County ranked sixth in Missouri on Friday in the annual spring firearms turkey season, the Missouri Department of Conservation said.
Hunters in the county had killed 303 birds. The breakdown is: 281 adult gobblers and 22 juvenile gobblers.
Top counties in the state were: Callaway (375), Franklin (351), Gasconade (349), Osage (329), Sainte Genevieve (312), Texas (303) and Phelps (296).
