An Ottawa, Canada, truck driver was injured late Sunday morning when her cattle truck went out of control east of Cabool on U.S. 60.
Cpl. Travis Brown said a westbound 1984 Peterbilt driven by a 30-year-old woman was operated too fast for the conditions and failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the right side of the roadway west of Garden Inn, struck two signs and overturned.
The driver, who had minor injuries, was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. The truck was totaled. She was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
For a time, traffic was down to one lane, the Cabool Fire Department reported.
Assisting at the scene along with the fire department were Cpl. Stacy Crewse and MSgt. Justin Piccinino.
