​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
Between April 14 and 20, the Houston Police Department answered 194 calls for service and initiated 31 traffic stops, resulting in 10 citations and 30 warnings.
- On April 14, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a motor vehicle crash. An investigation found that a 2005 Ford was backing out of a parking spot and struck a 2022 Ford. There were no injuries reported.
- On April 14, officers arrested Chester Schlichter, 41, of Licking, on a Rolla Municipal warrant. Schlichter was incarcerated in the Texas County Jail after being unable to post bond.
- On April 15, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Skyview Terrace for a motor vehicle crash. During an investigation, it was found that a 25-year-old male had crashed a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado into an apartment building and then left the scene. The driver was located a short time later and was found to be intoxicated. The driver was arrested and transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending a warrant for leaving the scene of an accident and driving while intoxicated.
- On April 16, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a theft investigation. Following the investigation, Alysha Harden, 36, of Licking, was identified as the suspect in three separate thefts. Harden was later arrested and cited for three counts of stealing under $750.
- On April 17, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was towed at the business’ request.
- On April 18, officers arrested Alexander Kell, 32, of Houston on a Texas County warrant per charges: second degree domestic assault, third degree domestic assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. Kell was taken to the Texas County Jail.
- On April 19, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a lane violation. During the stop, it was found that the driver, Jorden Folkerts, 24, of Belleville, Illinois, was impaired. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated-drug condition, and on a Pulaski County warrant per charge exceeded the posted speed limit. Folkerts was taken to the Texas County Jail, where he was cited for driving while intoxicated-drugs and failing to drive on the right half of the roadway.
- On April 19, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Grand Avenue for a domestic incident. Following an investigation, Chad Schneider, 39, of Houston, was arrested and cited per charge of fourth-degree domestic assault.
