An inmate at the South Central Correctional Center died Monday evening, the Missouri Department of Corrections said.
James Caraway, 81, was pronounced deceased at a medical unit at the prison in Licking.
He was serving a 24-year sentence for two counts of possession of child pornography out of Howell County.
He had been in prison since January 2019.
Caraway died of apparent natural causes, authorities said.
