Kenneth Eugene Cooperman, age 64, passed away on April 22, 2025 in Kansas City, Missouri. Ken was born on Jan. 17, 1961 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Ken was a loving husband and father. He married Brenda Corcoran on May 19, 1990 and to this union, two children were born, Lucas and Erika.
Ken was a beloved teacher and coach for 33 years.
He was also a devout Christian and a member of Souls Harbor Church.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Cooperman; children, Lucas Cooperman of Nixa, Missouri; and Erika Cooperman of Kansas City, Missouri; his grandchild, Walker; siblings, Jeri Lou Cooperman of Sioux City, Iowa, and Kendra Hanzlik of Cedar Rapids; his Aunt Jackie Layton of Spring Hill, Kansas; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Ken will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at Souls Harbor Church in Houston. A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Souls Harbor Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in loving memory of Ken. Online condolences may be left at www.evansfh.com.
