A Texas County investigation led to felony second-degree domestic abuse charges against a Mountain Grove man.
Jonathan M.E. Horner, born in 1990, is charged with the class D felony. He is held in the Texas County Jail on a $3,000 cash bond.
The victim, a woman, said she was shoved against a vehicle Sunday, and the suspect placed his hands around her throat. He later allegedly forced her to the ground and was struck in the face by Horner’s closed fist. She was later pushed into a barbed wire fence, she told the deputy.
According to the deputy, the victim had a swollen right eye, and there were red marks on her throat.
Horner was found on a nearby road, and admitted to the allegations, according to a report.
