There is a Tornado Watch in effect until noon today for western Missouri. Storms will later move east through Texas County, the National Weather Service said.

A line of severe thunderstorms will move through the area from west to east, slowing down as it moves east. Redevelopment and re-intensification are then possible east of U.S. 63 this afternoon, the National Weather Service said.

Threats then switch to flooding tonight through Saturday, with increasing confidence in significant flash and river flooding.
