A Texas County man faces a trio of felony charges after allegedly assaulting a woman and stealing her vehicle on April 24.
Ademar J. Martinez, 37, of Summersville, is charged with robbery – second-degree (a class B felony), domestic assault – second degree (a class D felony) and tampering with a motor vehicle – first degree (a class D felony).
According to a report by a Texas County Sheriff’s Department deputy, the officer responded to a call regarding a woman who had been forcefully removed from her vehicle by her boyfriend, who then stole the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the woman, and she said she and Martinez had gotten into an argument and a physical altercation ensued.
She reportedly said she and Martinez both fell out of the vehicle, and he shoved her down and fled in the vehicle.
Martinez was reportedly located by Mountain View police on April 25. He was arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail without bond.
