Texas County hunters killed 135 turkeys Monday in the first day of the spring firearms season, the Missouri Conservation Department said.
There were 128 adult gobblers and seven juvenile turkeys harvested.
Top counties in the state were Callaway (209), Osage (207), Franklin (204), Gasconade (202) and Sainte Genevieve (178).
