A Cabool man was injured early Saturday in an accident on Route 17 about 11 miles south of Waynesville, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said a southbound 2012 Ford Focus driven by a 19-year-old man started to skid, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree and ejected the driver, who had moderate injuries. He was taken by the Pulaski County Ambulance District to Phelps Health in Rolla.

The vehicle was totaled in the 12:10 a.m. accident. The driver was not wearing a seat belt.
