Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings April 23 and 24.

Members:

  • Participated in Government Day with area eighth graders.
  • Approved the appointment of Noah Morrison as Ozark Township clerk.
  • Met with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) representatives for preliminary evaluation of road and bridge conditions from the April 4 disaster declaration.

In other business, commissioners heard from:

  • Terra Culley, 911 director, concerning Venable Road.
  • Jeff Malam, Pierce Township, concerning roads and crossings for FEMA to review.
