Houston High School graduated seniors could receive $676,620 in scholarships and other aid, school officials announced. Many of the financial awards were disclosed during Decision Day on May 2 and graduation on May 10. 

A+ RECIPIENTS

These students will receive $7,000 per year for a two year total of $14,000.

SOUTHERN MISSOURI TECHNICAL INSTITUTE CERTIFICATE RECIPIENTS

These students completed a two year program at Southern Missouri Technical Institute and received certification in their field. Each student will receive a $1,000 Door to the Future Scholarship from SMTI for adult learning courses upon enrollment.

PRTC GRAPHIC ARTS CERTIFICATION

These students completed a two year program at the Piney River Technical Center and received certification in Adobe Photoshop.

PRTC HEALTH OCCUPATIONS CERTIFICATION/LICENSE

These students completed a two year program at the Piney River Technical Center and received their CNA Certification and Certified Phlebotomy Technician.

PRTC BUILDING TRADES

These students passed their Carpenters Union Test. By achieving a passing score on this assessment they will receive six months off their apprenticeship to become a journeyman carpenter which equals $12,000 if they join the Union.

PRTC WELDING CERTIFICATION/LICENSE

These seniors completed their program at the Piney River Technical Center and received the American Welding Society Structural Welding certification in their field.
