The Houston Community Foundation (HCF) awarded two scholarships to area students recently. 

The Montgomery Scholarship was awarded to Brody Adkison for $5,000 – renewable up to $20,000. Adkison is a graduate of Houston High School. He will be attending Missouri S&T in Rolla. 

Kasen Gaston, a Summersville High School graduate, was awarded the HCF Vocational Scholarship for $900. He will attend lineman school in West Plains.
