A Houston residence was destroyed by fire Friday night.

A Houston residence was destroyed by fire Friday night, authorities said.

The home, owned by Perry and Delinda Dixon, was a total loss on Durham Road.

Members of the Houston Rural Fire Department and Raymondville Fire Department were called.

The Dixons, along with their pets, escaped uninjured.

Persons who would like to help the family today (Saturday, May 25) can drop off donations on a table at Darren Scheets Auction Service on North U.S. 63, Houston, where the Dixons provide food service.

  1. We are beyond blessed and grateful for all the support we’ve received. Eventhough we wouldn’t have asked for help ourselves, our children took over and we are so grateful! Literally, we couldn’t make any decisions, buy anything, or even talk to people.
