​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
Between May 19 and 25, the Houston Police Department answered 167 calls for service and initiated 16 traffic stops, which resulted in nine citations and 10 warnings.
- On May 19, officers arrested Eric S. Caswell, 37, of Houston, on an active Texas County warrant per charges of kidnapping, unlawful use of a weapon and domestic assault. Caswell was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was incarcerated after being unable to post the $2,000 cash-only bond.
- On May 19, officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a reported dog bite.Â
- On May 20, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard to investigate a forgery. A suspect was identified, and the investigation is ongoing.Â
- On May 20, officers responded to Redbud Drive for a motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported, and only minor damage to the vehicles involved.
- On May 20, officers received a report of credit card fraud. After investigating further, it was determined that the crime occurred outside of Houston, and the report will be forwarded to the Texas County Sheriff’s Department for further investigation.
- On May 20, officers responded to the 500 block of Broadway Street for property damage. The investigation is ongoing.
- On May 21, officers responded to the 1200 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a private property motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported, and only minor damage occurred to the vehicles involved.
- On May 21, officers responded to U.S. 63 near Holder Drive for a motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported, and only minor damage occurred to the vehicles involved.
- On May 21, officers responded to the 300 block of Pine Street for a private property motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported, and only minor damage occurred to the vehicles involved.
- On May 21, officers received a report of sexual misconduct involving two juveniles. The investigation is ongoing.
- On May 21, officers cited Ronnie Good, 53, of Covington, Kentucky, for operating a motor vehicle without a valid operator’s license.
- On May 23, officers cited Leland P. Meyer, 69, of St. James, for failing to properly secure a load after the truck he was operating lost a large amount of gravel on U.S. 63.
- On May 23, officers responded to U.S. 63 near Route 17 for a motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported, and only minor damage occurred to the vehicles involved.
- On May 23, officers cited Edward L. Bluebaum, 80, of Houston, for failure to abate a nuisance.
