An inmate at the South Central Correctional Center died Wednesday evening, the Missouri Department of Corrections said.
Daniel Irwin, 72, was pronounced deceased at 11:41 p.m. at the prison in Licking.
He was serving a 50-year sentence for five counts of second-degree child molestation out of St. Francis County and one count of second-degree child molestation out of Washington County.
He had been in prison since October 2018.
An autopsy will be conducted, authorities said.
