Texas County’s nearly 17,000 registered voters will soon receive new voter registration cards in the mail.

The office of county clerk is required to canvass voter registration every two years.

“This process ensures the accuracy and integrity of voter records in our jurisdiction in compliance with the law. Voter registration ID cards are being mailed to all registered voters,” said Peggy Seyler, county clerk.

Upon receipt of your voter ID card in the mail:

  • If you have changed your address, update the card on the back and return it to the election authority.
  • If you have legally changed your name, visit the county clerk’s office or scan the code and go online to update it.
  • If your information remains the same, no action is needed. Retain the card for your records.

Persons are required to present a valid photo identification at the polls.

For additional information, contact the county clerk’s office at 417-967-2112.
