In its latest report, the Cabool Police Department listed a range of activities, including traffic stops and responses to local incidents.
The department reported 26 traffic stops resulting in 16 summons and 11 warnings issued. No arrests for non-traffic offenses or warrants were made.
At about 9:20 a.m. on June 17, officers responded to a two-vehicle accident on west U.S. 60 at Highway AV. A 2015 Dodge minivan was crossing over from east U.S. 60 onto Highway AV and struck a 2017 Jeep traveling west on U.S. 60, officers said. No injuries were reported.
At about 12:45 a.m. on June 18, officers responded to a private property accident at the Garden Inn Truck Plaza. A 2018 Volvo struck a 2005 Peterbilt as it was attempting to back into a parking spot, officers said.
In total, police handled two accidents, one alarm, seven animal complaints, one assault, three civil matters, four domestic violence calls, one juvenile matter, two peace disturbances, one stealing/theft incident, one unsecured building, assisted other agencies 12 times, gave one private escort and assisted the public nine times.
The fire department was dispatched 20 times.
