Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings June 11 and 12.

Members:

  • Discussed concerning audit materials with Christopher Smith, of McBride, Lock and Associates.
  • Approved an Upton Township contract.
  • Discussed a potential municipal court transfer and records storage with the circuit clerk.

In other business, commissioners heard from:

  • The maintenance department on facilities, concrete issues and roof progress.
  • Rocky Dailing, Tony McNew and Doug Smith concerning township roads.
  • David Scantlin on Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) progress.
  • Don Stilley, Upton Township, pertaining to road signs.
  • Doug Kyle, Upton Township, concerning purchase of culverts.
  • Christian Farris, Viebrock Sales and Service, on types of aluminum box culverts.
  • Ivan Schraeder, county attorney, concerning a potential municipal court transfer process.
